contemporary history, history and politics, political parties, political science

I currently work as a senior researcher at the Centre of Parliamentary Studies in the University of Turku. I obtained my PhD in 2016, and in my thesis I studied Finnish liberals, the National Progressive Party, during the inter-war period. From 2000 to 2006 I studied at the University of Tampere and obtained my MA in history.

My current research focuses on the Finnish Greens in national and Western European context. My other post doc-project continues to explore the history on Finnish liberalism from the Finnish independence to the 21st Century. First and foremost I am a contemporary historian and political scientist with a passion for parties, party politics and the history of ideas.
