Biography



Ms. Salla Lahdenpohja is a researcher at the Turku PET Centre in Finland. She has a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from University of Turku. Presently Ms. Lahdenpohja is PhD candidate carrying out research on Synthesis of 18F-labelled radiopharmaceuticals for the CNS. In her thesis research she focuses on using transition metals in 18F-labelling reactions.



Research

In her thesis she studies the use of transition metals (Ni, Cu, Ru) in 18F-labelling reactions. Aim is to produce radiopharmaceuticals for the CNS via transition metal-mediated pathway and develop a transition metal-mediated 18F-labelling method suitable for GMP radiopharmaceutical production.
