Biografia
Emmanuel Opoku Acquah is a lecturer/researcher at the Department of Teacher Education and Centre for Learning Research, University of Turku, Finland. He is a teacher educator concerned with the development of teachers’ attitudes, skills, and knowledge about working effectively with multicultural/multilingual learners. The bulk of this work lies in the integration of coursework on multicultural education into teacher preparation and its impact on students’ awareness and practices. In addition, he is investigating the knowledge of current and practicing teachers regarding culturally and linguistically responsive teaching in order to devise appropriate professional development supports.
