I have done my bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering in Azad University, Isfahan, Iran. Later I did my master's in information technology in Tampere University of Technology, Tampere, Finland. Currently I am doing my doctoral studies in information technologies in Department of Future Technologies, University of Turku, Turku, Finland.  



In my bachelor's I learned more about electrical engineering and electronics while getting to know artificial intelligence shortly as well.  

In my master's degree I focused on signal, image, and data analysis in general. Data manipulation, knowledge mining, statistical analysis and modeling, as well as machine learning were the specific topics I tried to learn and deploy in my master's degree. Since my master's studies, R and Python are the languages I am using the most although every now and then I write code with Matlab and SQL as well. 

Currently I am doing my doctoral studies in University of Turku with the focus on cardiovascular disease monitoring utilizing ubiquitous devices such as smartphones and smartwatches. I have also done research on Parkinson's disease detection and monitoring back in Tampere University of Technology before joining my current research team.  

Blood pressure monitoring using wearable sensors is the other topic I am investigating nowadays. We are trying to develop an easy-to-use cuff-less technique for continuous monitoring of blood pressure.
