Biography

Carly finished her PhD (2013 - 2017) at the University of Sheffield, UK, and is now working as a postdoctoral
researcher at the University of Turku, Finland.

Research

My main research areas lie within evolutionary ecology and conservation
physiology. I'm interested in how individual-variation within animal
populations drives host-parasite dynamics. I utilize large and longitudinal
datasets to model patterns of host infection, survival and reproduction. I
establish how parasites are aggregated within their host populations, providing
applications to improve the health, welfare and conservation of host taxa.
