Biography
I'm currently an Academy of Finland Research Fellow and the scientific programme coordinator of the NORFACE-funded DIAL programme (Dynamics of Inequality Across the Life-course).
I've previously worked on the INDIRECT-project (Intergenerational Cumulative Disadvantage and Resource Compensation), which examines processes of intergenerational social inequality and how lost family resources are compensated by other or other’s resources.
I've also worked as a postdoc at the University of Turku, the European University Institute (Italy), University of Bamberg (Germany) and University of Oxford (UK). I defended my doctoral thesis at the university of Oxford on the education of children of immigrants.

Research
My research focuses on social inequalities in education and the labour market, in particular those related to ethnicity, gender and social origin. I use mostly quantitative methods in my research.

Teaching
I generally teach courses related to advanced quantitative methods and social inequality.
